The Generative AI Laboratory (GAIL) invites applications for colleagues to become GAIL Fellows. GAIL seeks to push the frontiers of Generative AI to create impact through a variety of mechanisms including societal benefit and economic growth. GAIL builds on the University’s world-class research in Natural Language Processing, AI and machine learning - and the application of those techniques to a variety of fields such as healthcare, fintech and sustainability – with consideration of the social, ethical, political and economic implications of their adoption.CommunityAt this time GAIL is seeking to develop a community of researchers interested in all aspects of Generative AI from across the University. Becoming a GAIL Fellow will allow an individual and teams to join this community and help shape and build its future direction. In addition, fellows will benefit from access to seed funding, GPU-based resources and a shared GAIL research engineer, as well as university-wide networking, and industrial connectivity. As members of the GAIL community, they will be able to propose, lead and participate in seminars and workshops on relevant topics. All GAIL fellows will be featured on the GAIL website and have access to dedicated communications support from the GAIL team.Note that there is no direct resource or FTE assigned to fellows.
